Partners Jim Harty and Cliff Vail keep that reputation alive at Harty Bros Carpet & Vinyl, the firm founded by their grandfather, Frank B. Harty, in 1933.
The men are the third generation of Hartys to work the North Plainfield store. After serving in World War II, the Harty's father, Frank J. Harty returned to take over the helm of the company where he remained until his retirement in 1980.
The partners are members of the National Federation of Independent Business.
